Erica D. Musser, PhD, ABPP

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester, where I majored in biology and psychology. After graduating, I remained at the University of Rochester to complete a Master’s degree in Human Development and worked as a research assistant at Mount Hope Family Center for two years before pursuing my PhD.

 

I earned my PhD at the University of Oregon and completed my clinical internship at Oregon Health & Science University’s Institute on Development and Disability, housed within the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center.

 

Following my doctoral training, I moved to Miami, Florida, to join Florida International University where I worked as an associate professor until 2024. There, I was affiliated with both the Center for Children and Families and the Embrace Center for Advancing Inclusive Communities, where I served as Clinical Director of the Assessment Clinic. In these roles, I conducted research on neurodevelopmental disabilities, taught and mentored students, directed clinical operations, and provided direct clinical services.

In 2024, I moved to New York to join Barnard College, Columbia University, where I continue my research and teaching. That same year, I was awarded Board Certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology and opened this private practice.​

My work in research, teaching, and clinical practice has shaped an approach grounded in evidence, compassion, and collaboration. I look forward to bringing that experience to our work together.
